YOUTH ENGAGEMENT PROGRAMS

Real Talk offers youth engagement programs in both live virtual sessions and online modules and  with our facilitators. The material is aimed at addressing the challenges of all youth, including marginalized and at-risk youth.

At the core of our engagement initiatives is the underlying concept of leadership, whether self-leadership or otherwise. We help young people hone-in on their innate leadership qualities.

Real Talk recognizes that:

• Many young people rely on their peers in making decisions, instead of having the self-reliance needed to make good choices on their own
• With this group mentality comes the growing inability to recognize themselves as individuals, let alone as leaders
• The loss of individuality and self-empowerment can lead to making crucial decisions that can have negative impacts on their lives

In cultivating effective leadership skills, the objective of the sessions will be to:

• Create an environment for self-introspection
• Allow participants to hone-in on their own innate leadership abilities
• Provide an open forum for young people to discuss their personal challenges at home and at school
• Present a context for many of the social, economical and historical factors that have shaped the challenges of youth today 


Due to the many challenges of working from home and being away from classmates, we understand the strain that many students are currently feeling. Our material also allows students to:

• Self-assessing strengths and weaknesses
• Setting Goals and Objectives
• Building Good Habits
• Creating an Effective Daily Routine
• Studying for Tests and Exams

Sessions will cover a wide range of topics to achieve the goals of the program. Topics will be presented in creative and impactful way so that participants remain genuinely engaged, willing to share their own ideas, with the intention of retaining what they have learned in the sessions.
